The graphic above, taken from nohomophobes.com shows the number of times discrimination and homophobia happens in Twitter against the LGBT community. This is only people (or cowards) behind a computer screen and according to The New Civil Rights Movement, the word “faggot” is used on Twitter more than 10.5 million times a year. It is because of many of these terms that our LGBT youth continues to be bullied and commit suicides. If political leaders, people in prominent positions, celebrities, etc. use these words without concern as to their damage, no wonder why children and teens are harassing and hurting other LGBT kids. Monkey see, monkey do. The role models from the top are to blame, don’t you think?
